General Motors Fleet understands safety is always a top priority, so our standard and available safety features have to stand up to the toughest conditions and the toughest critics. We asked former officers to test-drive our latest available safety features, and they were excited to see firsthand how these technologies can help police to stay safe when they’re on the road. Features such as Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking are all designed to help prevent collisions. Plus, our vehicles offer numerous standard features and airbags† that can help in the event of an unavoidable crash.
Safety or driver assistance features are no substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. Visibility, weather, and road conditions may affect feature performance. Read the vehicle’s owner’s manual for more important feature limitations and information. Safety features shown may not be available on all GM vehicles.
When you need to stay connected on the road, Chevrolet police vehicles have you covered. We provide available in-vehicle technology, such as the touch-free Chevrolet Infotainment System† with Bluetooth®† hands-free connectivity† and Rear Vision Camera.† Every vehicle is designed with your officers’ convenience in mind to help them stay productive and attentive.
Our vehicles are built with plenty of space for the driver, front seat passengers, personal equipment, and detainees. For example, the Tahoe PPV features a maximum 112.1 cu. ft.† of cargo volume behind the first row to store equipment, evidence, K-9 kennels or any other items the officers may need.
Our Police Vehicle Specialists can provide support throughout the vehicle selection and purchase process, including:
- Connecting you to the right dealers for a price quote under the state or county contracts
- Providing walk-arounds and vehicle demonstrations of the police vehicles you are considering
- Ensuring you’re getting the best value for your vehicle purchase
For more help, contact the Police Vehicle Specialist that services your state.
