• General Motors Fleet Eligibility

Becoming a General Motors Fleet customer is a simple way to give your fleet a competitive advantage. Our expertise and vehicle solutions can be tailored to help meet the needs of your business. Becoming one of our valued customers is as easy as following these three steps:

Step 1 to becoming a GM Fleet Partner is learning if you are eligible.

Make sure your business is eligible for Fleet Programs and incentives. To qualify as a General Motors Fleet partner, your company must have one of the following:

You may be eligible if you have purchased or leased 5 new cars or trucks in the last 12 months.

Purchased or leased five (5) or more new cars and/or trucks (any combination of vehicle manufacturers) principally for business use in its operation within the last 12 months.

If you currently own or lease 5medium duty trucks for your business you may be Eligible for GM Fleet.

Currently owns or leases five (5) or more medium duty trucks used in its company service.

If you currently own or lease 15 vehicles for your business you may be Eligible for GM Fleet.

Currently owns or leases fifteen (15) or more cars and trucks used in its company service.

Don't qualify for fleet? No problem.

We offer programs and offers specifically for smaller businesses as well

If you qualify for GM Fleet take the next step.

If your business qualifies as a fleet, your next step is to submit an application with proof of eligibility for a General Motors Fleet Account Number (FAN).

Fleet Account Numbers are used to individually identify qualified fleet customers, process orders, track vehicle production and delivery, and offer incentives to specific customers. This will be your unique identifier within the GM database.

To obtain a FAN for your company, you will need to do two things:

1. Read and complete the FAN Enrollment Form. Be sure to complete and sign/initial all areas on both pages.
2. Proof of eligibility - Provide documentation to prove your business is eligible (see step 1). Acceptable documentation includes vehicle titles, registrations or proof of insurance on company vehicles.

Please scan your signed application and proof of eligibility and send both to gmfan@gm.com. Our Fleet Action Center will process your request and respond within 24-48 hours.

If assistance is needed in the completion of these forms, please contact the GM Fleet Action Center at 1-800-FleetOp (353-3867).

Step 3 is working with GM Fleet.
