Air bags, rear side for outboard seating positions

  • Rear side air bags provide additional occupant protection to passengers seated in the rear on both sides closest to the door in certain impacts. Additional air bags include1:
  • Front air bags work with the safety belt system to help reduce the risk of injury to the driver and right-front passenger if involved in a moderate to severe frontal impact1
  • Head-curtain air bags help reduce the risk of head and neck injuries to occupants seated in the outboard seating positions in side-impact collisions and rollovers1
  • Knee air bags work with the safety belt system to help reduce the risk of injury if involved in a moderate to severe frontal impact1
