Time, resources, and the brightest minds. GM has dedicated all three to making its manufacturing processes and its vehicles more sustainable and more efficient.
Thanks to these conservation-minded efforts, GM now offers most models with an EPA-estimated 30 mpg or higher highway* fuel economy. Plus, this year will see GM as the leading producer of FlexFuel vehicles, with 20 models available.

From trucks and SUVs to sedans and crossovers, GM is expected to offer more hybrid models in the U.S. than any automaker in 2009. Utilizing a sophisticated combination of electric and engine power, our two innovative hybrid systems will help your business fuel up for the future by reducing fill-ups.
Vehicles using GM's standard hybrid system save fuel by shutting down the engine when not in use and capturing energy through regenerative braking. Those with our patented 2-Mode Hybrid system offer the best of both worlds: hybrid benefits during city and highway operation.
The hybrid models available to your business are:

With 3.5 million GM FlexFuel vehicles on the road and 20 different models available for your business, 2009 is the year to bet on Biofuel.
FlexFuel vehicles run on either gasoline or E85† ethanol, a cleaner-burning, high-octane fuel that's a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. A mostly renewable fuel source that can be made from U.S.-grown organic materials, E85 reduces greenhouse gas emissions, can enhance the nation's economy, and reduce energy our dependence.
Active Fuel Management, E-Flex Propulsion, and Hydrogen Fuel Cells. They're just a few of our technologies designed to improve fuel economy and performance while reducing exhaust emissions.
The ingenious Active Fuel Management feature saves on fuel costs by using only half of the engine's cylinders when driving with a light load, seamlessly switching to all cylinders to accelerate or haul heavy loads.

And that's just GM today. The E-Flex Propulsion System, available on the 2011 Chevy Volt,§ is the future of GM's fuel-saving technologies. It's allowing drivers to travel up to 40 miles without using a drop of gas.** Imagine the savings, both for the environment and your bottom line, as we approach our goal of going from gas-friendly to gas-free.

And since the best emissions policy is a "zero" emissions policy, we're busy breaking new ground on hydrogen fuel cells. Currently, as part of Project Driveway, they're powering the Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell vehicle by turning hydrogen into electricity. They're part of GM's most advanced fuel-cell propulsion system to date with the only by-product being pure H20.
GM is helping your business save time, money, and the environment with several features available with every GM vehicle.
Oil Life System
GM's patented Oil Life System can double, or even triple, the time between oil changes when compared to the traditional "3,000-mile" recommendation simply by evaluating driving conditions.
Simplified Maintenance Schedule
Thanks to GM's Oil Life System technology, Goodwrench service technicians are able to offer a Simplified Maintenance Schedule for every GM car and truck they care for.
