Dual-stage air bags are engineered to help protect the driver and right-front passenger by supplementing the safety belts.
Always use safety belts in the correct child restraints for your child's age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with air bags and the Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat. Never place a rear facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active frontal air bag. See the vehicle's Owner's Manual and child safety seat instruction for more safety information.
The antilock brake system (ABS) is designed to help drivers maintain steering control by reducing wheel lockup during hard braking on most slippery or dry surfaces.
With the StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System, sensors read many inputs and monitor driving and vehicle conditions. When sensors detect the vehicle is not responding appropriately to driver steering input, StabiliTrak engages the brake and powertrain systems to help the driver keep the vehicle on track.
