Air Bags: Dual Stage frontal, driver and right-front passenger with Passenger Sensing System. Right-front passenger air bags status on inside rearview mirror. (Click here for important details)

Frontal air bags help protect the driver and right-front passenger in certain collisions by supplementing the protection provided by safety belts. Dual-stage frontal air bags utilize sensors to help detect the severity of of a crash, then determines if the air bags should be deployed and whether a full or less-than-full amount of inflation is to be used. In less severe crashes or when the seats are in the full-forward position, the air bags will deploy at less than full level. The Passenger Sensing System automatically switches the right-front passenger frontal air bag on or off based on the passenger's weight and the type of pressure on the seat. Even with these innovative features, you should always wear your safety belt and be sure children are properly restrained in the rear seat.

Always use safety belts and the correct child restraint for your child's age and size, even in vehicles equipped with air bags. Children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in the appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active frontal air bag. See the vehicle Owner's Manual and child safety seat instructions for more information.

Battery: Heavy-duty 600 cold-cranking amps, maintenance-free with rundown protection and retained accessory power.

A feature that remembers when you don't. Battery-rundown protection automatically shuts off interior lights after the vehicle has been sitting with the engine off for a preset amount of time.

Brakes: 4-wheel-disc antilock

The antilock brake system (ABS) is designed to help drivers maintain steering control by reducing wheel lockup during hard braking on most slippery or dry surfaces.

StabiliTrak: Electronic Stabillity Control System with Proactive Roll Avoidance.

With the StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System, sensors read many inputs and monitor driving and vehicle conditions. When sensors detect the vehicle is not responding appropriately to driver steering input, StabiliTrak engages the brake and powertrain systems to help the driver keep the vehicle on track.

Theft-Deterrent System: Vehicle, PASSKey III

As an added security feature, this vehicle has the PASSKey III theft-deterrent system, which includes a special ignition key with up to three trillion possible code variations. If any attempt is made to start your vehicle without the properly coded key, the starter and fuel injectors are temporarily disabled.
