Capable of running on up to 85 percent ethanol (E85 fuel is 85% ethanol/15% gasoline) or unleaded fuels, the Vortec 5300 V8 FlexFuel engine with Active Fuel Management(TM) delivers 320 hp and 340 lb.-ft. of torque. When driving conditions require less power, the Active Fuel Management(TM) system temporarily allows the 5.3L V8 engine to shift automatically from eight cylinders to four, resulting in impressive fuel economy gains.
