Introducing the all new 2008 Pontiac G8.(1) The G8 is the first North American application of General Motors new global rear-wheel drive architecture. Styling cues include dual-port grille, fog lamps, bold wheels and a confident, wheels-at-the-corners stance. Distinctive exterior elements include hood scoops and front fender vents, along with projector-beam headlamps housed in crystal-clear lenses. The Sedan model has a 3.6L DOHC V6 engine with variable valve timing, 261-hp and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control and Sport Mode. The GT Sedan model has a 6.0L V8 engine with Active Fuel Management, 361-hp and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control and Sport Mode. A four-wheel disc antilock brake system is standard and includes traction control and StabiliTrak vehicle stability enhancement system. Both G8 model interiors deliver comfort and convenience, packaged in a level of sophistication and attention to detail.
