    Overview:

Impala delivers highly competitive performance to go with impressive interior room, cargo capacity and safety. Both the marked (9C1) and undercover (9C3) Impala police vehicle packages combine large-car utility and performance with mid size agility and cost of operation.

Every Impala police car is powered by a commanding 230hp 3.9L V6 E85-capable* engine matched with GM's heavy-duty 4T65-E 4-speed transmission. This proven powertrain combination delivers ample power along with an EPA- estimated 20 MPG combined city/highway fuel economy. Along with these savings comes peace of mind, starting with GM's 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty (whichever comes first; see dealer for details).

Between Impala's specially designed supportive bucket seats are seat bottom frame structural tubes and a center floor mounted tunnel crush box. These complement Impala's reinforced front seat structure to protect occupants. Standard dual head curtain side airbags for front and rear, to help protect occupants, add to Impala's safety story. In addition, the 2010 Impala received the highest possible frontal crash test rating (driver and front passenger) from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA); Five-Stars.§

    Standard features include:

    • Front cloth bucket seats with space between seats for equipment
    • 140-mph certified analog speedometer and Driver Information Center
    • The industry's only standard Driver's Information Center with Oil Life Monitor, English/metric settings, tire pressure, and Remote Keyless Entry
    • 100-amp ignition-controlled main power supply under dash and in trunk
    • 3.9L VVT V6 with 230 and E85 FlexFuel* capability
    • Engine oil, transmission and power steering fluid auxiliary coolers
    • Heavy Duty steel wheels with high speed rated tires

E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. To see if there is an E85 station next to you, go to www.afdc.energy.gov/afdc/ethanol/ethanol_locations.html.

Always use safety belts and the correct child restraint for your child's age and size, even in vehicles equipped with air bags. Even in vehicles equipped with Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in an appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active frontal air bag. See your vehicle Owner Manual and child safety seat instructions for more information.

Government star ratings are part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA's) New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov).
