State and Local Government Sales
The GM Bid Center provides support to GM dealers interested in "bidding" to supply vehicles to qualified organizations or agencies.
If you are responsible for the procurement of vehicles for a Political Subdivision, GM dealers can work with you to meet all your vehicle needs, including:
- State, County or Local Government offices
- School Districts or Sheriff's Departments
- Regulated and Public Utilities or publicly traded Railroads

The process is simple:
- Create your RFP/RFQ or Bid Specification within your organization's existing guidelines.
- Publish the RFP/RFQ/BID to local General Motors dealers to obtain competitive pricing for vehicles that will meet your needs.
GM dealers sell and service virtually every type of vehicle to meet your needs. From cars (including Police cars) to pick-ups, vans, sport utility vehicles to medium duty trucks. Many trucks and vans can be upfit or modified for specific applications**, such as:
- Police and fire rescue
- School buses
- Shuttle buses
- General service, facility support/maintenance
- Ambulance/Advanced Life Support
- Snow removal
- Department of Transportation
- Public Works
- Urban forestry

General Motors also offers a Municipal Lease/Purchase Plan through GMAC that is tailored specifically for Bid Center customers. This plan offers retail financing for eligible municipalities or political subdivisions to finance essential-use vehicles at favorable tax-exempt interest rates.
