A. The General Motors Common Fleet Account Number (FAN) is used to identify qualified fleet customers. It is used by all divisions of GM to process orders, track vehicle production, and identify those customers who may be eligible for fleet incentives in conjunction with the purchase or lease of new GM cars and trucks.

A Qualified Fleet User is defined as any company which has purchased and registered or leased five (5) or more new cars and/or trucks (any combination of manufacturers) solely for use in its operation during the current or preceding calendar year or model year, or preceding twelve (12) month period, or that owns or leases fifteen (15) or more cars and trucks. All political subdivisions automatically qualify as fleet customers.

A. Qualified customers can apply for a FAN at any GM franchised dealer. Dealers submit applications via the web. Responses to applications are returned to the applying dealer via e-mail.

A. The FAN remains in effect as long as the customer meets the eligibility requirements set forth to be a General Motors fleet customer. GM FAN accounts are reviewed periodically for eligibility and may be terminated at GM?s discretion.
