General Motors showcased a strong performance in this year’s J.D. Power Initial Quality Study1, ranking highest in initial quality across eight segments. Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac all had a great showing, with eight vehicles in total leading their respective segments.
Chevrolet led the way with five awarded vehicles. Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Tahoe, Silverado HD, and Avalanche all ranked highest in their segments. The Cadillac Escalade took the Large Premium CUV category for the fourth consecutive year. The Sub-Compact CUV category was given to Buick Encore. And the GMC Sierra LD is ranked highest along with the Chevrolet Avalanche in the Large Light Duty Pickup segment, among tough competition.
